In the modern production process, in order to deal with the handling and assembly of large parts, reduce the labor intensity of operators and improve work efficiency, pneumatic power assisted manipulator is adopted. The operator can move heavy workpieces up, down, left and right with minimal force. The basic principle of pneumatic power assisted manipulator is to use constant pressure to control the air circuit to balance the load, and realize the balance at any position with the help of parallel connecting rod mechanism.
Pneumatic assisted manipulator is suitable for safely and efficiently grasping and placing objects of any different shapes and shapes. The grab weight range is 10kg-600kg. According to different installation forms, it can be divided into column type, suspension fixed type and suspension sliding type.
What are the safety features of power assisted manipulator?
1. Safety valve unit
Monitor the movement speed of the mechanical arm to prevent the rapid rise or fall of the mechanical arm after wrong command or accident.
2. Check valve unit and gas storage unit
Air cut-off protection: ensure that the air cut-off of the manipulator will not cause accidental injury, and the operation can last for 1 ~ 2 working cycles.
3. Brake unit
a. The brake is located at the connecting joint to prevent the manipulator from rotating and loosening, and it can also facilitate the operator to control the workpiece, that is, the manipulator and fixture can stop at any position; The brake is controlled by the button installed on the fixture. When the operator presses the control button, the manipulator is locked; After the work is completed, the brake can also be used to park the manipulator.
b. In the braking state, all keys of the manipulator do not act to prevent accidental injury.
4. Fixture self-locking unit
The stop valve function is designed to prevent the clamp from loosening objects when the system is cut off or leaks at any position, unless instructed by the operator.
5. Load self-locking unit - load in place protection
The design of load self-locking in place protection ensures that the fixture will not be released even if the "release" button is pressed when the workpiece is not placed in the specified position; This design can prevent the workpiece from falling off accidentally.
6. Load self-locking unit - load suspension protection
The load self-locking suspension protection design ensures that the workpiece is in mid air and will never be released even if the "release" button is pressed.
If the operator stops pressing the "release" button, the manipulator and gripper will return to the original balance state; If the operator continues to press the "release" button, the workpiece will continue to be in the grasping state and slowly fall to the design lowest point with the manipulator.
7. Load self-locking unit - load limit protection
Load self-locking limit protection design. When the manipulator is designed at the lowest limit position, the fixture will not release the load even if the "release" button is pressed. To sum up, in any case, the workpiece will not loosen until it is placed on a stable contact surface.
